Sharina Filion

Airdrie native Chad Moore is the Co-Founder and President of VSPG Hockey Development Group, where he leads the organization’s vision, structure, and commitment to advancing player development at every level of the game. With elite playing experience and more than a decade of coaching expertise, Chad has built VSPG on a foundation of discipline, progression, and a clear pathway for athletes to grow with purpose.

Chad’s hockey background includes competing at the AAA level with the Airdrie Xtreme and at the junior level with the Airdrie Bisons, giving him firsthand understanding of what it takes to perform, compete, and advance. That experience now shapes the development philosophy behind VSPG’s programming and curriculum.

In addition to his role at VSPG, Chad serves as President of the Airdrie Techmation Thunder Junior B Hockey Club and as Head of Hockey Development and U13 Major Male Head Coach within the community. These leadership roles allow him to directly connect long-term athlete development with real competitive pathways, ensuring VSPG athletes are prepared for the demands of higher levels of play.

Known for his detail, accountability, and high standards, Chad’s philosophy blends advanced skill progression with leadership and character development. His focus is consistent: build disciplined athletes, foster strong character, and prepare players to compete confidently at the next level.

Sharina Filion is the Co-Founder and Key Administrator of VSPG Hockey Development Group, where she oversees the operational structure, organization, and day-to-day execution that allow the program to run with professionalism and purpose. Known for her leadership, attention to detail, and ability to build strong systems behind the scenes, Sharina plays a critical role in ensuring VSPG delivers a seamless, high-standard experience for athletes, families, and staff.

A proud alumna of the Mount Royal University women’s hockey program, Sharina brings elite playing experience and a deep commitment to long-term athlete development. She is also the Founder and Owner of Rocky Mountain Venom Hockey Academy, one of Alberta’s premier independent programs competing in the Premier Hockey League (PHL). Under her leadership, Venom has grown into a respected program recognized for discipline, accountability, and opportunity for athletes to advance.

In addition to her work with VSPG, Sharina serves as Key Administrator for the Airdrie Techmation Thunder Junior B Hockey Club, supporting the organization’s operations and leadership structure. Her ability to manage complex programs while maintaining a strong athlete-first focus makes her an integral part of both organizations.

Sharina’s philosophy centers on building confident, resilient athletes through high standards, integrity, and belief. Whether working in administration or on the ice as a coach, her expectation remains the same: compete with intensity, lead with purpose, and represent the crest with pride—both on and off the ice.
